Hood River Yacht Club offers a full sailboat racing calendar including both buoy and point-to-point races.
From April through October, the club sponsors its weekly Wednesday Night race series.
These friendly races sail a variety of courses, with the start and finish just west of the Hood River Bridge.
During these races we see a broad variety of weather conditions, including both lovely evening sundowner breezes up through gear-busting Gorge blowouts--often in the same race.
HRYC also sponsors a number of weekend regattas, including both one-design and PHRF fleets.
The club also organizes a number of point-to-point regattas, including the famous Red-D race
from Hood River to Cascade Locks and back.

For full schedule and results details, please check the links below. If you are a skipper of a boat and would like to participate in a club sponsored race, please make sure to register for the race in advance.
Our weekly race series is only open to club members (join now); our weekend regattas are open to any sailboater who is a member of a US Sailing member yacht club. |
| If you are crew and are interested in crewing on a boat, feel free to come down to the Hood River Marina and prowl the docks before the race, or contact the club and we'll try to get you a ride. |
