Are You Gorgeworthy?

Based in the beautiful Columbia River Gorge, Hood River Yacht Club is a friendly group of sailors and boaters who enjoy sailing, cruising, racing, windsurfing, kiteboarding and pretty much anything else you can do on the water.  The Club helps sponsor a Junior Program, Adult Learn to Sail classes as well as other community events.

In the Gorge we enjoy sailing in a wide variety of wind and water conditions, from gentle summer evening breezes to epic nuclear blowouts and everything in between.  Bring your foulies and a sense of adventure, and come sail with us!

2008 Schedule Posted   

HRYC's 2008 event calendar has been posted on the website -- browse out to the Event Calendar and take a look at what's going on this year.

Highlights include:

• Opening Day on April 26
• Wednesday Night Races begin on April 30
• The next General Membership Meeting is in June
  
• Double Dammed Downwinder on August 9
• HRYC Invitational Regatta on September 20th and 21st 

And much more -- We'll be adding more events as the we lead into the summer sailing season, so please keep checking back.

Upcoming Events 

April 26:  Opening Day -- HRYC's Opening Day festivities are planned for Saturday, April 26.  This year's Opening Day theme is "Gilligan's Island".  We'll have a pancake breakfast, boat parade, barbeque, Optis, and more.  It should be a fun day for the entire family.  More info >>

April 30th: Wednesday Night Races -- Wed. April 30th marks the start of HRYC's annual Wednesday Night Race series.  Get your boats in the water and tuned up now -- rumor has it that Doug has been working on Mojito to make it even faster, and Stan has apparently outfitted Mirage with new sails...
