Hood River Launching and Trailer Storage

 

Boats are launched from the two lane ramp at the head of the visitor dock at the Port of Hood River marina. Launching and trailer storage is free. Trailers may be stored in the parking lot adjacent to the launch ramp or in the gravel lot to the south of the marina offices (bottom left in the photo below).

The closest camping to the sailing area is Bridge RV Park across the Hood River Bridge in Washington about 5 minutes from the Hood River Marina. While very convenient and well suited for RVs, Bridge RV park is noisy due to its proximity to the road and railroad tracks.

 

Tucker Park (Hood River County)
Quiet tent camping on the Hood River 15 minutes from the marina. There are 13 campsites with water and electricity ($14), and 69 tent sites ($13). Playground equipment, a picnic shelter, tables and fishing. There is also a new shower house, and a new water line. Handicap facilities. RVs to 30' with hookups, no limit if self-contained and does not require hookups. Stays are limited to 7 days. Located approximately 5 miles south of Hood River on state highway 281 (Tucker Road).
